A Roman-Jewish Culinary Journey
Join us on May 1st, as we welcome revered culinary ambassador Viola Buitoni, author of "Italy by Ingredient: Artisanal Foods/Modern Recipes" and Dr.Francesco Spagnolo, Curator of UC Berkeley Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life.
These two experts, in collaboration with Executive Chef Mattia Marcelli will showcase and educate about the not so know history of the Cucina Romana Ebraica, Rome's iconic Jewish cuisine. A curated pre-set multi course menu, featuring some of Rome's timeless specialties, from Carciofi alla Giuda to Torta del Ghetto (with ricotta and wild cherries), will be offered. Throughout the night, our special guests will guide you thought each dish, sharing history, cultural roots and traditions behind this unique fusion of Roman and Jewish flavors.
